Woman Saves the Life of Driver Who Flipped Her Off
A Florida mom didn't let rude behavior stop her from doing the right thing, when she saved the life of a woman who allegedly just flipped her off.
Kristyn Dominy was headed home with her baby Monday night when another driver sped past her on a windy stretch of road.
"She did flick me off whenever she passed me," Dominy told CNN affiliate Bay News 9.
Then she noticed black smoke coming from the Jeep. When she turned the next corner, it was in flames.
“My first thought when I came around the corner and saw that her vehicle was on fire, I was thinking karma, but the same time, I could never, even though she flicked me off down the road, I could never just sit there and watch that happen," she said.
She saw the woman was on fire and struggling to get her 5-year-old daughter out of the burning car.
“I don’t know how I didn’t get burned… because I took the seatbelt off of her and told her to get on the ground and roll to get the fire off of her because her clothes were on fire.”
Dominy helped free the child and called 911. The woman and her daughter were both flown to a nearby hospital. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
“The vehicle was up in flames and just the look on the mom and daughter’s face,” said Dominy. “I could never just drive by and not think about that.”
