Get the hot pink moving truck ready!
After 40 years of living in Malibu, Barbie has put her famous (and fictional) Dreamhouse up for sale on the real estate site Trulia – priced at a whopping $25 million.
“This innovatively scaled three-story home has more than 8,500 square feet of fab living space and a master bedroom featuring a balcony overlooking the ocean,” reads the listing.
Other highlights include:
A kitchen fit for a culinary queen, complete with pink granite countertops, chef-worthy appliances as well as doll-licious plastic food that never spoils.
A pink elevator equipped with a state-of-the-art pulley system, diamond-encrusted accents and crystal chandeliers.
The only home in Malibu with a self-flushing toilet and fireplace that crackles even when it’s not on.
(Note: Potential buyers should be aware of the fact that the Dreamhouse only has three walls.)
The announcement kicks off a marketing campaign to help Barbie find a new home, which will culminate in the fall when Mattel unveils a brand new dollhouse – just in time for the Christmas shopping season.
But why? After all this time, why has the bubbly blonde decided it’s time to say goodbye to her beloved pink palace?
“I love Malibu. It’s been my home forever,” said Barbie in a video interview.
“But traveling the globe has opened me up to the possibilities of living elsewhere. Plus, I speak over 37 languages and I’m dying to try a few of them out.”
We just hope she has enough boxes and bags to fit all her shoes!
