Former teen tennis prodigy Jennifer Capriati has been charged with stalking and battery in a Valentine’s Day confrontation with her ex-boyfriend.
According to Florida authorities, the 36-year-old approached Ivan Brannan at a gym while he was working out and began yelling. When he tried to walk away, she blocked his path and punched him in the chest.
Brennan claims that the couple broke up in 2012 and she has been harassing and stalking him since. Capriati has been issued a summons to appear before a judge on February 17 to address the charges.
It’s been a bumpy road for the woman who rose to the top of the professional tennis world in her teens.
Capriati is a three-time major winner and a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, but she’s also been arrested several times on charges ranging from shoplifting to marijuana possession.
