UPDATE: Authorities have confirmed that one TSA agent was killed in the shooting. CNN is reporting that the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center received three male victims, one in cricital condition and two listed in fair condition.
UPDATE: “Suspect is now in custody. Multiple victims,” LAX officials said in a tweet. ABC News is reporting that at least three people have been shot.
A gunman opened fire at a security checkpoint at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday morning, wounding a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employee and causing a terminal evacuation.
According to NBC4, a TSA spokesperson confirmed that the shooting occurred at a security checkpoint.
Los Angeles Airport officials have confirmed the incident took place in Terminal 3, which is the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
LAPD has issued a tactical alert and aerial videos show officers escorting people from the terminal. Several ambulances have responded to the location.
