The 15-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson was hospitalized June 5 following an apparent suicide attempt.
Paris Jackson was rushed to the hospital from her home in Calabasas, CA, her mother Debbie Rowe confirmed to Entertainment Tonight.
Multiple reports say the teen is expected to recover fully.
“Paris is physically fine and getting appropriate medical attention,” Sandra Ribera, attorney for Paris’s legal co-guardian Katherine Jackson, said in a statement.
“Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you,” the statement continued. “Please respect her privacy and the family’s privacy.”
June 25 will mark the fourth anniversary of the death of her father. According to Us Weekly, an insider source says Jackson “has major depression issues, a lot of it stemming from her dad’s death.”
Early Wednesday morning, the teenager tweeted a line from The Beatles’ hit song, “Yesterday.”
“Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay,” she wrote.
