G.A. Gertmenian and Sons, LLC Recalled Toy Story 3 Bowling Game

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and G.A. Gertmenian and Sons, LLC have issued a voluntary recall of their Toy Story 3 Bowling Game.

Consumers should stop using this product immediately. There are currently about 600 of these products. The red paint on some of the bowling pins were measured to be in excess of the maximum allowable level of 90 ppm, a violation of the federal lead paint standard. Luckily, no reports of incidents or injuries have been made.

This recall affects the game packages with a batch marking of JA 148. The item contains six plastic bowling pins with red stripes, one black plastic ball, and a nylon game rug that has an image of Buzz Lightyear printed on it. To find the batch marking, look at the bottom front of the packaging just above the bar code. It can also be found on the tag attached to the rug.

This product was solid at Walmart from September 1, 2010 to September 25, 2010. For more information about the recall, contact G.A. Gertmenian and Sons LLC at (888) 224-4181 from 9 am to 5:30 pm PT Monday through Friday. Consumers can also e-mail Gertmenian@gertmenian.com to learn how to receive replacement bowling pins.
