Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies (No Butter!)

Check out this amazing recipe for healthy cookies that your whole family will love. Seriously, I just made these and my kids LOVED them.

The cookies are made with coconut oil instead of butter and there are no eggs (just in case you thought I just forgot them…)

No Butter Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 6 T unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 T vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • ¼ cup flax meal
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray pan with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, mix together the oil, applesauce, salt, vanilla and sugar. In another medium bowl mix the flour, flax meal, and baking soda.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until dough is formed. Pour in the chocolate chips and mix into the dough.

Using a spoon, scoop the dough onto the baking sheets – leave about an inch in between each cookies. Bake the cookies on the center rack for 12-14 minutes. The cookies should be soft in the center and crisp up after you take them out of the oven.

Leave the cookies on the sheet for five minutes and then transfer onto a wire rack.

No buts about it – these cookies are delicious!
