Ab Straps Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission and Harbinger Fitness have recalled Ab Straps due to a fall hazard. The plastic buckle on the ab straps can break. There have been two reported incidents of the straps breaking- both resulted in lacerations to consumers’ head and necks.

The product hangs from an overhead structure. Users place their arms in slings to do abdominal exercises. The universal Product Code (UPC) 000751510964 is on the bottom of the packaging of the affected straps.

They were sold online Bodybuilding.com and Amazon.com and in stores at Second Wind Fitness, Play It Again Sports, Advantis Nutrition and other specialty stores.

Contact Harbinger customer service at (800) 729-595 for a free replacement.
