Diving Unlimited International in cooperation with the U.S. Product Safety Commission and Health Canada have recalled the DUI Weight & Trim System Classic as well as the DUI Weight & Trim System II. There were about 1,500 of the units sold in the U.S. and 50 in Canada at diving equipment retailers between July 2010 and April 2011. The DUI products are being recalled due to a manufacturing defect that prohibits the pocket from securely holding the weights allowing then to detach while in use. This poses a downing hazard to consumers.
Owners should immediately stop using the equipment and call DUI at (800) 325-8439 or email CustomerService@DUI-Online.com for a free repair.
