Ski Helmets Recalled by Swix Sport USA

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday that Swix Sport USA and Uvex Sports has recalled roughly 800 Uvex Funride Ski Helmets.

The ski helmets provide insufficient shock absorption and resistance to puncturing, both of which can lead to possible head injuries during use. The ski helmets were sold at independent retail ski stores and ski rental shops nationwide between January 2009 and April 2011 for approximately $99.

Consumers should immediately stop using these helmets and contact Uvex at Swix Sport USA for a full refund or store credit at (800) 340-8335 or www.uvex-sports.de/en/recall. Visit the USCPSC website for more information on the recalled lamps.
