Outlet Covers & Safety Latches Recalled by Prime-Line

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Wednesday that Prime-Line has recalled roughly 37,000 safety latches and outlet covers. The safety products have screws that can loosen and break, leaving electrical outlets uncovered posing many hazards to young children.

Manufactured in China, these safety latches and outlet covers were sold at various hardware stores nationwide between October 2009 and June 2011 for approximately $3.50. Consumers should immediately stop using these recalled products and contact Prime-Line for a free replacement kit. For more information, please contact Prime-Line at (855) 839-9555 or visit the USCPSC website for more information on the recalled safety products.
