Build-A-Bear Recalls 300,000 Stuffed Bears

Build-A-Bear Workshop has recalled more than 300,000 Colorful Heart Teddy Bears because of a choking hazard.

The 16-inch-high stuffed animals, which have brightly colored hearts on their fur, have plastic eyeballs that could potentially loosen and fall out.

The affected bears were sold for around $18 in the U.S. and Canada and online from April to December 2011. So far, there are no reported choking incidents.

Any consumers who have already purchased the bear should take it immediately from children and return it to any Build-A-Bear store, where they will receive a coupon for a replacement.
