Jessica Alba Not Afraid to be ‘The Strict Parent’

Even though Jessica Alba is a new-ish mom, she already acts like a seasoned pro.

During her Tuesday night appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” Jessica revealed how she usually has to play the bad cop since hubby Cash Warren is too much of a “softie” when it comes to disciplining 2-year-old Honor.

“She’s very independent and likes to do everything that I tell her not to — so I have to lay down the law,” Jessica laughs. “I’m very strict with her. When it’s time for her to eat, whether she’s coloring or doing whatever…it’s time to eat. So she freaks out and cries and then she gets a time out if she cries for no reason.”

But, Jessica stays firm when Honor cries, refusing to fall into the trap. “I’ll say, ‘Honor, what are you doing?’ And she says, ‘Crying for no reason.’ And then she stops because she doesn’t want to go to time out.”

She sure knows how to lay down the law in her household! Hats off to you, Jess!
