It’s a boy for Kate Winslet and her husband Ned Rocknroll,
who welcomed their first child together on Saturday.
A rep for the actress confirmed the news, adding that “Mother and baby are doing great.”
The little one was born at NHS Hospital in Sussex County in
England.
It’s the third child for the actress, who has two children –
Mia, 13 and Joe, nearly 10 – from previous relationships.
Winslet, 38, and Rocknroll, 35, met in 2011 while vacationing at his uncle
Richard Branson’s private Necker Island. The couple tied the knot last
December.
She kept her last name following the marriage, telling Us
Weekly, ” I was never going to change my name to Rocknroll. I’ve never
changed my name to anything so I didn’t see a reason to start now.”
But will the baby be a Rocknroll?
In the past, Winslet has given her children their fathers’ last names. Her daughter with ex-husband Jim Threapleton is named Mia Honey Threapleton, while her son with ex-husband Sam mends is Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes.
We’ll just have to wait and see what she decides for baby number three!
