Kristin Chenoweth is thinking about adopting a baby as a single parent.
“When I see other single parents, I think, ‘Maybe I can do it too,’” the actress and singer, 42, said Wednesday while accepting an Angels in Adoption award from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
Kristin herself was lucky enough to be adopted into a loving home.
“I was shuffled around and got into the right home,” she tells People. “I was lucky.”
Her adoptive parents were both chemical engineers and despite their love for Kristin, they “couldn’t understand why [she] never understood math or science.” Well, she certainly found her own niche.
Kristin has appeared on Broadway in the musical revival of “Promises, Promises” and has appeared as April Rhodes on several episodes of “Glee.”
Kristin recently paid for 14 foster children to see her Broadway performance and when asked if she could see herself taking in a foster child, she says, “I could very easily be that person.”
Well, we hope she decides to do it because we think she has the potential to be a great mom!
