Nicole and Keith’s “Faith” in Baby #2

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban got a little present from the stork in one of the last days of 2010: Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, born Dec. 28.

Since the parents announced publicly about their new dauther on Monday, more details have slowly coming to the surface about the nontraditional method Kidman and Urban used to conceive.

Faith Margaret is biologically the couple’s child, but was born through a gestational carrier at the Women’s Hospital at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. They went this route because of Nicole’s past struggles to conceive. It was a difficult process to conceive their first daughter, Sunday Rose, now two years old, but they never ruled out more children, always keeping in mind, "If it’s in God’s plan…"

The name Faith Margaret had two inspirations. "Margaret" is the name of Kidman’s grandmother, while "Faith" is what got her parents through the struggles of expanding their family. "They never gave up faith they’d have another child together," said a friend of the couple. "They feel blessed."

Faith Margaret is the second child for Kidman and Urban. She joins big sis Sunday Rose, 2, as well as Isabella, 18, and Connor, 15 (Kidman’s kids from her marriage with Tom Cruise). "They’re just thrilled" about their new addition, the friend said of the family.
