Elton John Says Son is a “Blank Palette”

Elton John and husband David are L-O-V-E-ing daddyhood.

Ever since son Zachary Jackson Levon was born via surrogate on Christmas Day 2010, things around the house have been all smiles and calm spirits.

John, 62, called fatherhood “the most wonderful feeling” at a press conference for the new animated film “Gnomeo and Juliet” for which he composed the music.

“The most wonderful thing” since what, Elton? Since meeting his husband David!, he gushed. What a family man the music legend has turned into!

According to John, being a dad “is surprisingly very relaxing because this little soul that you are feeding, changing, bathing and that you’re telling bedtime stories to is a blank palette, a blank canvas and all it needs is love and nurturing.”

At least this is how he feels right now…you’ll have to get back to him later about the terrible 2’s! “When he gets to talking and running around I’ll probably feel a little different. But the adventures in daddy-land–it’s fantastic!” he joked.
