Giada De Laurentiis’ lucky daughter Jade, 3, got to spend some quality time with her mommy this weekend. To celebrate Mother’s Day, the mother-daughter pair traveled to NYC, where they attended an Operation Smile gala and appeared on the Today Show.
“She’s 3 years old,” the beautiful TV chef said. “It’s at the time where everything is so fantastic and exciting for her, so I thought it would be really fun to spend Mother’s Day week here, just she and I.”
De Laurentiis, 40, showed her little girl what life in the TV world is like at the Today Show. "She’s going to be a pro", the proud mommy said of her experience .“Once she’s there, I don’t exist anymore,” De Laurentiis added. “In fact, Hoda [Kotb] said, ‘You need to get that girl her own show.’ I’m like, ‘She’s 3.’”
While Jade emulates her famous mom on set, is she becoming more like her in the kitchen too? “She’s becoming a very good cook, I must say. She helps make a mean carbonara, which is one of my favorites.”
