Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis is amazed at how quickly her 3-year-old daughter Jade has taken to the kitchen.
“She’s been cooking for quite some time now. I took her on the Today Show and it was hilarious,” Giada, 40, tells People.
“She had a whole conversation with Hoda [Kotb] about how much food to eat and how to eat spaghetti. She’s very into food. We’ll see how long this lasts, but for now it is all consuming.”
But, besides food, Giada and her daughter don’t have many other passions in common.
“She’s also really gotten into dancing. Which is very interesting because her mother is horrible at dancing,” Giada says. “I have two left feet.”
When asked about her family’s big Father’s Day plans, Giada is already planning something special for her hubby Todd Thompson.
“My husband is a big surfer and spends a lot of time on the beach. So for us, Father’s Day is making a picnic and setting it up on the beach. He does his thing and we watch and support him,” she shares.
The surfing theme applies to Todd’s gift as well. Giada revealed she’ll be giving him a new surfboard!
“Maybe some kind of board with Jade’s colors on it. I was thinking maybe she could decorate a board," Giada revealed. What a cute gift idea!
