‘Titanic’ Star Gloria Stewart Dies at 100


Gloria Stuart, best known for her role as 100-year-old survivor of the sinking Titanic in the 1997 movie of the same name, passed away September 26th.

The Washington Post reported that Stuart's daughter Sylvia Thompson confirmed that her mother, who had been diagnosed with lung cancer a few years ago, died at her home in West Los Angeles. 

The Santa Monica-born actress was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Titanic and was a founding member of the Screen Actors Guild.
