Danny McBride and his wife Gia Ruiz welcomed their first child on Monday – a son named Declan George.
“Mom and son (and dad) are doing great!” a rep for the actor told PEOPLE.
McBride, 34, announced the pregnancy in April on the Conan O’Brien show.
“I got married last October,” he explained to Conan. “I wasted zero time — three months later, I knocked my wife up.”
“I had never impregnated anyone before,” McBride joked. “So I didn’t really realize that what they teach you in health class is actually true. That’s all it takes.”
Along with his starring role as washed-up pro baseball player Kenny Powers on the HBO series “Eastbound and Down,” the actor is best known for his performance in “Tropic Thunder” and “Pineapple Express.”
McBride and Ruiz met on the set of “Eastbound and Down,” where she worked briefly behind-the-scenes as an art department assistant. They were married in an intimate ceremony last October.
