World’s Longest Cat Discovered

Stewie, a 5-year-old Maine Coon from Reno, Nevada, was certified as the new Guinness World Record holder for longest cat after measuring 48 1/2 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail bone. That's over 4 feet!

Stewie's owners, Robin Hendrickson and Erik Brandsness, say they decided to try for the record after everyone kept telling them how amazed they were at Stewie's length.

The proud pet owners say that Maine Coons are the "gentle giants" of the cat world.
