It’s a girl for Misty May-Treanor! The three time Olympic beach volleyball player and her former professional baseball player husband Matt Treanor welcomed their first child, Malia Barbara, in Long Beach, California on June 3 her representative told PEOPLE.
The baby girl most likely gets her middle name from May-Treanor’s mother Barbara, who died of cancer in 2002. The 36 year-old new mom posted on Facebook, “We were so blessed to welcome this little lady in to the world June 3. The staff at the hospital and doctors we can’t thank you enough. Let the adventures begin!!!!!
