A Marie Claire blogger is being criticized for referring to the stars of the TV series "Mike & Molly" as "fatties" and "obese" and making further rude comments about their weight. Maura Kelly apologized Wednesday after receiving complaints from tens of thousands of readers. That's right, about 28,000 angry readers sent emails to the magazine.

In a blog post entitled "Should 'Fatties' Get a Room? (Even on TV)", Marie Claire's sex and relationship blogger wrote earlier this week that she would be "grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of fat kissing each other…I'd be grossed out if I had to watch them doing anything."

The new CBS comedy "Mike & Molly" stars actors Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy as two people who begin a relationship after meeting at an Overeaters Anonymous group.

Kelly called the actors "downright obese", adding that she considers it "aesthetically displeasing to watch a very, very fat person simply walk across a room" even in real life.

Kelly later said she regretted her comments. "I would really like to apologize for the insensitive things I've said in this post. Believe it or not, I never wanted anyone to feel bullied or ashamed after reading this."

Do you think Kelly should lose her job over these insensitive comments?
