Lisa Blount, an Oscar-winning producer and actress best known for her co-starring role as Lynette Pomeroy in 1982's "An Officer and A Gentleman", has died at the age of 53.
For the past 17 years, she battled a chronic illness similar to the neurological disorder multiple sclerosis — which causes muscle weakness, spasms and difficulty with coordination.
Lisa was found in her Little Rock, Arkansas home by her mother on Wednesday. But, she most likely died on Monday, according to the coroner. Lisa had reportedly called a friend Monday revealing that she didn't feel well.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. No foul play is suspected.
Lisa's husband, Ray McKinnon, was out of town at the time.
Condolences to her family and friends.
