A day after being released from the hospital, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina hit the campaign trail again. Fiorina was released from an L.A. hospital Wednesday after treatment of an infection associated with a prior reconstructive surgery following breast cancer.
"There certainly are no health concerns in the coming days," Fiorina, 56, said. "It's fairly common, unfortunately, for women who have been through the kind of breast cancer and reconstructive surgery that I went through to sometimes get infections. They need to be treated aggressively and quickly. And this one was. I feel fantastic."
Fiorina was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2009 and was declared cancer free after radiation and chemotherapy treatments.
