After months of speculation, Mariah Carey, 41, and Nick Cannon, 30, have let the cat out of the bag: she's pregnant!
“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true,” the singer and actress, said on the "Today" show Thursday morning as part of a sneak peek at a three-part Access Hollywood interview.
After suffering a miscarriage two years ago, they wanted to hold onto anything private for as long as possible this time around. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy," she said. Carey wouldn't give any details, but said "it's still early" and "expecting is great." Cannon joined the interview to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.”
For months the couple have been trying to quell rumors of a pregnancy, but finally had to come clean about it. They wouldn't reveal the sex of the baby just yet, however, Carey thinks she'll spill the news eventually because she loves to decorate!
