Chilean Miner Finishes NYC Marathon

He announced his decision to run the NYC marathon on Letterman and he kept to his word.

Edison Peña finished the NYC Marathon on Sunday afternoon, even with an injured knee! The Chilean miner, trapped for 69 days underground, started the race at 9:30am and ran all 26.2 miles, finishing at 3:30pm.

Peña was nicknamed "The Runner" for running up to six miles a day through the tunnels of the Chilean mine he was stuck in for over two months.
