Usher’s Stepson Taken Off Life Support

The son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster has passed away after life support was removed following a boating accident earlier this month.

11-year-old Kile Glover was critically injured when he was struck by a jet-ski on July 6th. Kile and a female friend were playing on an inflatable raft when it was struck by the out of control jet-ski, which was being operated by a family friend.

The boy was airlifted to a nearby hospital and was declared brain dead shortly after being admitted.

“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word,” his family said in a statement to CNN shortly after the accident. “We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”

On Saturday morning, Usher and Foster made the heart-wrenching decision to take Kile off life support and he passed away. The Grammy-winning singer, who helped raise the boy since he was 4, was reportedly devastated.

Letting go of a loved one in this manner is one of the most difficult decisions that a friend or family member could be forced to make; it is tempting to hold out, waiting for a miracle.

Our thoughts are with Kile’s family during this difficult time.
