Weight loss is largely based on a calories in/calories out formula, where the more calories you burn, the faster you’ll lose weight, according to the Mayo Clinic. While that may be a rather simplistic explanation and the truth involves a bit more–such as your body composition and genetics–the best way to lose weight fast is to focus on exercises that burn a lot of calories in a short period of time. Sure, you can lose weight by walking or doing other simple exercises, but with high intensity exercises, you can choose to work out for shorter periods or burn more calories working out in the same amount of time.

What Life’s All About

Its Saturday night. Im in a strange bed. My hubby is next to me. My boys are in another bed, passed out cuddled up into each other, wiped from a day at the Zoo and running around. Im bloated and my jeans have left bruises on my hips (literally) from the tightness from all of this weeks eating, but Im as happy as a clam. Because at the end of the day, for me, family is what its all about.

List of Fun Exercises for Kids

Kids are naturally active and do not need much encouragement to get up and move. Keep them interested in physical activity with fun exercises that are also appropriate for their physical skill level, intellectual level and maturity level. Encourage exercises which involve movement, balance, coordination and teamwork. Running, walking and bike riding are exercises which kids learn early and are not quickly (if ever) outgrown. Other exercises including jumping rope or playing hopscotch will be abandoned by older children who want to be seen as mature and not as babies. All children can learn how to do sit-ups and push-ups, to build strength and stamina. Keep these activities as warm up exercises for older children, and encourage them to increase their stamina by adding more repetitions.
