Middle School Trick Play: One for the Books

Late in a middle school championship game in Corpus Christi, Texas, one team pulled out the play that tops all plays. Driscoll Middle School was down 6-0 to their rivals, Wynne Seale Middle School.

Both teams were on the line. Driscoll's center calmly reached over his shoulder and handed his quarterback the ball. Players on both sides were frozen. Quarterback Jason Garza slowly started walking towards the opposite team's end zone, through the defense. When he was a few feet away, he broke into a sprint. By the time Wynne Seale realized what was going on, it was too late.

Driscoll scored, and tied the game at 6-6. Check out the video here.

Assistant coach John Delosantos created the trick play. Everyone on the team was in on it.

Funny, right?
