A gunman took a classroom full of students hostage at a high school in Wisconsin.
According to Marinette Police Chief Jeffrey Skorik, police responded to a 911 call reporting 23 students and a teacher being held hostage in a classroom at Marinette High School.
The police chief said no shots have been fired and no injuries have been reported. The condition of the hostages has not been revealed.
"We have no idea, as far as his motivation at this point," Skorik said of the gunman. The police know the identity of the student, but they are not publicly sharing his name. They believe he is a young male, armed with a handgun.
We hope for a peaceful resolution.
