Police arrested the father of three missing boys Tuesday and charged him with kidnapping. John Skelton was arrested immediately after his release from a mental health facility for allegedly kidnapping his three young sons. Alexander, Andrew and Tanner have been missing since Friday.
Investigators and police say, sadly, that they, "do not anticipate a positive outcome."
Skelter said left his three boys with a woman he named Joann Taylor before trying to take his own life. He said he didn't want his boys to witness his suicide attempt. The woman was supposed to take the boys to their home outside of Toledo, Ohio. The boys never arrived.
Authorities are not sure the woman in Skelter's story exists. They cannot find an established relationship between the two.
Police say Tanner, 5, is 3 feet, 6 inches tall with blond hair and blue eyes. Alexander, 7, is 3 feet, 9 inches tall, with brown hair and eyes. The oldest brother, Andrew, 9, is 4 feet, 1 inch tall with brown hair and eyes.
