Ski Bus Full of UMass Students Flips in Vermont: Injuring 37

A bus on a ski trip flipped over on Interstate 91 in Vermont and slid down an embarkment Friday afternoon, leaving 37 injured, six critically.

The bus left from the University of Massachusettes in Amherst, Mass. and was bound for Quebec, Canada. The trip was organized by the UMass Ski and Board Club, which is open to students and community members.

Reports indicate that the bus driver may have had a heart attack.

At least one of the injured was air-lifted from the scene. Dozens of ambulances, fire trucks and emergency vehicles responded.
