Peaches Geldof Dead At 25

Peaches Geldof, the daughter of musician Bob Geldof, died Monday, April 7 in Kent, England. She was 25.

The BBC reports that police were called to an address near Wrotham, Kent, on Monday afternoon following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman.

“At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden,” said a statement from Kent Police.

The socialite and model was best known for her work as a TV presenter, hosting her own UK series called OMG! with Peaches Geldof. She also worked as a columnist for Elle magazine, and British newspapers the Telegraph and Guardian.
She leaves behind two sons – Astala and Phaedra – and her husband, Thomas Cohen. Peaches is also survived by her survived by her father, sisters Pixie, Fifi Trixibelle, and half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof.
“We are beyond pain,” Bob Geldof said in a statement Monday. “She was
the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all
of us.”
In a tragic coincidence, Geldof herself lost her mother, Paula Yates, at a young age to a drug overdose.  She was 11 years old at the time of Yates’ death and spoke later about struggling to accept the news.

“I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it,” she told Elle magazine in 2013. “I just blocked it out. I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on.'”

In her final Instagram post, dated yesterday, Peaches shared an old photo of her mother. She also shared a video of  her playing with her baby boy:

The rest of her photos paint a similar picture of a funny, vibrant beautiful young woman who loved her babies, her family and her dogs:
Our hearts are breaking for the entire Geldof family, and especially for her young sons, who will grow up without their mother. We’re sending our thoughts and prayers to them during this difficult time.
