Fire Damages Historic Provo Tabernacle in Utah


Firefighters are battling a raging fire at the historic Provo Tabernacle, an edifice at the corner of First South and University Avenue in Provo, Utah.

The fire collapsed the roof of the famous landmark and there is additional structural damage to walls, peaks and gables of the building.

The Mormon building dates back to the 1880s.

The damage appears severe and authorities aren’t sure whether the building can be saved.
