Southern California is storm-battered and wet! Flooding and mudslides continue to threaten Southern California cities as the terrain becomes more saturated. Us Los Angeles folks aren’t used to dealing with thunderstorms, hail and damaging winds. Homes are being evacuated, and everyone is bracing for Wednesday night’s storm. Luckily, this is supposed to be the worst of the precipitation, and the rain should lighten by the end of the week.
In the past week, 5-20 inches of rain have fallen in Central and Southern California. This translates to heavy snow and difficult travel in the mountains.
Be extra careful when driving! Accidents are becoming increasingly common as the rain gets worse.
