My husband and I have been talking forever about building a house from scratch. We bought the house we’re in now twelve years ago, before we had children. It’s a great house, and it’s served us well, but we’ve outgrown it.
The best part of any home renovation show is watching the carpenters at work. It's so amazing how they start with nothing but some pieces of wood, and end up with a one-of-a-kind armoire.
They aren't bad to look at either (no, seriously, do you have to be adorable to be a carpenter, or does being a carpenter make you adorable? These are the philosophical questions that burden me).
With two little girls running (well, one is crawling) around, we have a plethora of Barbie dolls and Princesses at my house... which means, if I'm blogging about a kid craft it's usually girl-related.
Well, today we made some toy car knobs and a chalkboard car track and I think they are both perfect for decorating a little boys (or girls) room!
Alright, get your glue gun out because the tutorial is below...
You need Hot Wheel cars, knob backers (these can be found at any hardware store) and a glue gun.

Nothing makes me happier than the feeling of new energy in a space. I wanted to change my daughter, Chloe’s bedroom to mark her rite of passage from preschool to Kindergarten. My mission, (without breaking the bank) was to give her room a fresh look by building on the base design of her room. These are some simple tips to “redo” your child’s room:

Looking for a room decorating theme that works for baby boys and girls? Well, search no farther than the seashore!
Whether you live in Nantucket, Massachusetts or Omaha, Nebraska, a nautical themed bedroom can create a cozy, fun environment for children. And the best part is, it’s so easy to shop for!
The nautical trend has taken over, not just in the clothing world, but in terms of interior design, as well. Here are some great shore-themed items to make your child’s bedroom look like something you’d find at the docks of Cape Cod.
Let's face it: Tween and teen girls are not all that easy to handle.
At that age, my room was my own private sanctuary where I'd listen to records, flip through Tiger Beat and YM (wow am I dating myself or what?), play around with makeup and my curling iron, gossip with my friends on the phone, have sleepovers and do my homework. More importantly, when I was in a bad mood, I'd be out of my parents' hair.
This week I've decided to put the glue gun aside, and tell you all about a wonderful art buying experience I recently had. Yes, I am a devout crafter, but my first love lies in the arts. Being classically trained in fine art, I find myself living a balance between strokes of oil paints and papers full of glitter. Opp
