Grab yourself a taco and put on your sombrero - because today is Cinco de Mayo!
With a name that loosely means the "5th of May" in Spanish, Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico and it's certainly celebrated with enthusiasm in the United States as well.
I had a gorgeous weekend. Sad to see Spring Break end, but we celebrated everything we could in that last week including Passover and Easter.
We always keep the traditional Jewish holidays, but this year my sister and her kids were visiting, so Easter followed and it turned into one big blended holiday packed with great family memories! Of course there were lots of laughs too!!!
Check out my photos from the holiday weekend:
Once upon a time you were fascinated by politics, intra-office warfare, tummy control slips, and how to dump a frenemy...
While wishing your guests a merry little Christmas, don't let the stress of the season get in the way of your good mood - especially when it comes to holiday parties!
Instead of running yourself ragged planning an overly elaborate affair, remember that Christmas is a time for friends, family and love. With a little creativity, and some of these helpful tips, you can put together a memorable menu for your kids' party without a lot of fuss and flurry.
Vacations are more than just a wake-up call to take some much needed R&R. They are times to reconnect with family, check in with yourself and celebrate the joyful energy of the season.
Adding beauty to your Thanksgiving table doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming. As you work on setting the scene for your Thanksgiving festivities, consider creating a quick-and-easy Thanksgiving centerpiece as a way to draw attention to your table center and make your dining space as aesthetically appealing as your carefully prepared food is tasty.
I just finished watching President Obama speak. I am wondering how I will address the news of bin Laden’s death to my children. Surely it will be the talk of school, and they will have many questions.
I stood in the West Wing just days ago during my tour of the White House. I cannot imagine how preoccupied President Obama must have been as he delivered his toast at last night’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner. Hopefully, the laughter of the 2000 plus people that filled the room allowed our president to escape for a moment.
One day. One short day! Those are the words I imagine are doing roller coaster loops in Kate Middleton's mind right about now. She is set to marry His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales on Friday morning, making her the luckiest girl in the world, I'm pretty sure. If anyone is livin' the dream right now, it is most definitely Kate Middleton.
The wedding of the century is just mere days away! Don’t fret because you can’t be at the actual event in London, sitting next the Queen herself. With the convenience of modern technology, the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is coming to your very own living room. Invite over some of your closest girlfriends and host your very own viewing party. It’s easier than you think!
Decorating for parties, even simple backyard barbecues, really sets the tone for the celebration!
Add a festive vibe or fun theme to your decorations to wow your guests and transform your barbecue party into something special. Keep the decorations low-key for a simple, casual gathering or go all-out for a special occasion, such as a birthday party or wedding reception.
