Here is a recipe for a salad that just says yummy to me.
It's one of those salads that my kids aren't really asking to share with me, my husband thinks is too healthy... but when I've invited a girlfriend over to my house for lunch, I'm proud to serve it next a piece of grilled chicken that I've marinated in garlic, red pepper flakes, fresh rosemary and olive oil. I hope I'm inspiring you for lunch today!
This is one of my favorites - it's a perfect hearty crunchy munchy salad. It's great for any get together, like the Superbowl or a backyard party - guys and gals love it.

Have you ever gone into the supermarket and seen those things that look like giant scallions? Well, that’s a leek. Only this onion on steroids doesn’t taste anything like a scallion, but a refined, subtle, mild, delicate, clean tasting onion. They are fabulous in soups, fish dishes, braised, blanched, poached or in this case made into a gratin.
I was staring out my kitchen window this morning and looking out at my pomegranate tree - it's so pretty and it's actually overflowing with fruit! I love this time of year when it's in full season.
So I went outside, climbed up on my stepstool and picked a few of them. It takes a little bit of work to get those deliciously sweet and tart seeds out of the fruit, but whether you do it in a bowl of cold water or cut them open and take them out one by one... it's seriously worth it!

As summer draws to a close (we know, we're sad too), there are always a ton of end-of-the-season BBQs and cookouts. And if you want to offer a side dish that's a little bit healthier than the traditinal potato salad and coleslaw, we recommend this amazing tarragon vinegar salad dressing. We got it from none other than Brooke Burke herself.
"This dressing is my secret recipe and I use it for all my salads," says Brooke.
Enjoy!
