OK, I admit it. I hate being cheap. But let's face it, these days, we're all watching our pennies. One of my personal goals for 2013 is to become a more budget-minded shopper: this means groceries as well. It's no secret that the grocery bill for a family of five can get out of control very quickly.
I have a few favorite stores where I like to shop - they're convenient, I like the layout and they have the products I want. However, the prices aren't always suited to my budget and every time I go, I find myself over-spending.
I always seem to find myself rummaging through my fridge and coming across sad-looking vegetables or half eaten pieces of fruit.
Since I hate wasting food and try to eat as many fruits and veggies as possible, I decided to throw “everything but the kitchen sink” into a bowl and make a salad.
There really isn’t recipe to follow, just simply, find what fruits/veggies/nuts/bean/protein/cheese you have leftover in your kitchen and throw it in a big bowl. Lunch or dinner is served!!!

Yvette Garfield from Handstand Kids shares a great recipe for Italian-style popcorn!
Ingredients
1 bag of plain microwave popcorn or 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
This is by far my favorite breakfast sandwich that I’ve ever had, and I make it!
The biggest problem I’ve noticed with breakfast sandwiches served at restaurants, is they lack flavor. Every AM sandy should have some sort of aioli or sauce.
