With the start of the New Year also brings that special time of year when people make obligatory resolutions to become better. But most resolutions don't last, and they aren't that useful as self-improvement tools if you're just going to break them.
So let's not make resolutions, let's just do it. Apologies to Nike, because it seems like they had the right idea all along.
Here are a few way to change your life for the better this year:
Focus on You
The holiday season is here, and that means tables loaded with sweet treats and comfort food.

For many, the holidays are weight gain’s “perfect storm."
Holiday madness can throw your life off-balance - lots of parties with scrumptious food and delectable drinks can be hard to resist; monster to-do lists can cut into sleep; and crazy schedules can get in the way of the gym... leading to guilt, anxiety, and a chubby belly. And all in time to make it tough to fit into form-fitting holiday finery!

Even if you didn't dabble with diets in high school or college, chances are pretty high that adulthood (and parenthood) may have left your search engine history riddled with fad diets and workout plans.

Taking care of the house, doing the laundry, cooking meals, working on homework and going to work max out the hours of your day. You really do not have enough time in a day to take care of yourself. If you need to lose weight and get some energy back, look for a fast workout routine you can fit into your few free moments.
Women who have gone through a pregnancy often have the same or similar experiences.
Most moms can barely get out the door on time, let alone find an hour to squeeze in a workout. But what would you say if I told you all you need is 25 minutes, five times a week, to get a smokin' bod? Seriously.
Many women are concerned with getting rid of the baby weight.
Working out is ALWAYS a priority for me. I usually put on my workout clothes first thing in the morning to make sure I get some exercise in.
Some days I know exactly what I'll be doing, spin class, home workout, jog in the park. Other days I don't know when or how I am going to fit in physical activity but I make it my mission.
