My New Year’s resolutions all have to do with motherhood.
Regrettably, before I can write one sentence, the topic gets dicey. Guilt, self-defensiveness, even panic, rise up like tidal waves.
Every year, people with very good intentions sit down and type out a list of New Year’s resolutions, usually consisting of some lofty goals like "I will never touch fast food again" or "I will whip those saddle bags into shape" or "I will be a more patient parent."
While most people don't always manage to stick to their New Year's resolutions, I am all for making goals and trying to reach them.
What's wrong with striving to improve your imperfections or change some bad habits? With that said, here are some of the most popular New Year's resolutions I've come across and some advice on how to actually achieve them:

Happy New Year everyone! I hope your holidays were great. Honestly, I am glad they are over. I took a huge breath overlooking the ocean and very peacefully let 2010 go… I am looking forward to this New Year. A New Year always brings a new energy and motivation to do great things.
