I’m on another flight; this seems to be my office away from home these days. In fact I am starting to feel like I need a parking space at the airport, and I am not happy about that. It wouldn’t be so bad of course if it were my own plane! I should add that to my bucket list. It would be so much easier. I wish!
We asked Brooke some revealing questions and she had some even more revealing answers! From what she always has in her fridge to what she would be if she wasn't on TV -- find out all of the juicy details...
Shaya broke my heart yesterday as I was leaving for the work. “I come?” he sweetly pleaded. This work thing, and being away from the kids, does not get any easier. David has been super busy too. The scary part is that we have no way of knowing how their tender minds interpret things. I try so much to listen to their hearts but so much is a mystery. David and I think a lot about our own childhood feelings and fears and I am sure we project them onto our own kids. But nonetheless, I can tell that a full day without me is too long for my little ones.
Brooke loves her job. She is making so many great connections! Check out this awesome picture of Brooke sandwiched between dancer Derek Hough and host Tom Bergeron.
Brooke's everywhere lately -- from field trips with her kids to a recent jaunt to Oprah. But what does the busy mom and television host bring on the plane, and better yet, what does she pack? We dug inside her bags and found out -- boy we could learn a lesson in organization from her. Look!
Brooke is all over the place -- and traveling a bunch too. Just recently, she flew to Chicago to be on the Oprah show -- amazing, right? We asked her how she packs, what she throws in her carry-on bag and what she never leaves the house without. Here's the scoop.
I’m in-flight, on my way to Chicago to join Oprah in studio tomorrow!!!! It’s a huge moment for me! Making an appearance on her show has been on my Bucket List. I am amazed at the power of being specific in my thoughts, putting things out there and even simpler, putting them on paper. Since I wrote my wish list and blogged it several months ago, I have been checking things off. It’s an amazing feeling, but I must share that the experience of creating the list was also fulfilling.
It's partly my own fault for getting so engrossed in my new child, but I also feel like maybe my best friends and I grew apart after I became a parent. Did it happen to you too?
I actually started to write a different blog but had to switch gears. Two weeks ago I took a sweet dog out of a shelter, she was going to be euthanized because nobody had adopted her. She looked as though she was quite neglected… unfortunately in these economic times, dogs are being dropped off at the shelter daily. I would urge any of you needing to find a home for your pet to please try and find a rescue facility, or a no kill shelter if you aren't able to place your pet with another family.
We just celebrated my daughter Sierra’s 8th birthday. She is my nature girl, very different than the rest of my children, sensitive, simple, and caught in the middle of everyone’s attention. I asked her how she would like to spend her day, all she wanted was to ride a horse, go to a playground with her best friend and have dinner with her Dad and me at her long time favorite fancy restaurant. She’s my one child that asks for nothing, and is very clear as to what she wants.
