Kale is super-nutritious, but what do you do with it? It seems like you really only have two options. You can use it raw in a salad, or sauteed with garlic and olive oil... right?
Well, we've got another great kale recipe that will satisfy your craving for something crunchy and salty.
These baked kale chips are a great alternative to potato chips and your kids will love them!
Ingredients:
2 big bunches of kale
olive oil non-stick spray
fine sea salt
parmesean cheese (optional)
Directions:
Spray baking sheet with non-stick spray. Place kale leaves on baking sheets and spray again with olive-oil spray. Sprinkle kale leaves with sea salt or parmesean cheese (if desired).
Place sheets in the oven, on broil. Let the leaves broil for 3 minutes, then turn them over and let cook for another 3 minutes.
Keep an eye on your chips! Kale cooks very quickly and cooking time may be longer or shorter depending on your oven. Don't let it get too brown!
