Does your family ever have a spaghetti night?
If so, we've got a super simple recipe for homemade tomato sauce that requires just three major ingredients and can be whipped up in about 10 minutes.
Let's cook!
Ingredients
Directions
Pour a small amount of olive oil into a deep dish pan. Don't worry too much about measuring, just dump in about a tablespoon or two.
Turn the heat up to high. Toss in your diced tomatoes and let them cook down for a few minutes.
At this point, your tomato should look pretty mushy. Tear up some fresh basil leaves and add to the tomato mixture.
Use the flat of your knife and smash your garlic to release some flavor. Then add to the mixture along with salt and pepper. Add a sprinkle of garlic sauce.
Let it all cook down for about another 7 to 8 minutes.
Carefully remove the cloves of garlic from the sauce. You can leave the basil in or remove it as well. Another optional trick - you can add in a small amount of red chili flakes for a little spice.
And you're done! Super duper, delicious homemade marinara sauce.
