February 14th is the day when we take the time to celebrate our friends and family and show them how much we care.
And what better way to share your love with your little one than an extra special Valentine's day lunch?
Here's how:
Special Sandwich
Make your child's favorite sandwich - whether PB & J, turkey and cheese, egg salad - whatever! Then carefully cut it into the shape of a heart. If you have a heart-shaped cookie cutter, that's probably your best bet.
Sweet Treat Beverage
Skip the chocolate candies and give your kids a better-for-them sweet treat with some delicious chocolate milk or think pink with a strawberry milk suprise. Crafty moms could use heart stickers and googly eyes to transform juice boxes into cute Valentine critters lLike this little robot we saw on Pinterest).
Snack Time
For a fun snack idea, try pretzel sticks or carrot sticks that can be shaped into X's. Pair with mini-rice cakes or anything else in the shape of a circle, so your child can pair them together into X's and O's - or hugs and kisses! Another idea: cut strawberries in half for a heart-shaped snack.
Valentine Notes
Last but not least, personalize your little one's lunch with a very special Valentine's day note.

Just write a sweet note and stick it in your child's lunch box.
So go ahead and give your child some extra lunchtime love. They'll be thrilled with their very special meal!
