When was your last checkup? If it’s been 18 months since you went to the doctor, stop putting it off! It’s easy to let “busy-ness” be the excuse for falling behind on your routine healthcare visits. But it’s also a pretty lame excuse for not taking care of the most important thing you have: your health.
Visions of sugar plums still dancing in your head? The holidays are definitely the season of giving, but what you might not have realized that one of the things most given at this time of the year is proposals. One in four grooms proposes to his future wife over the holidays so if you’re not getting engaged yourself, you’re likely to get a phone call from one of your best pals with big news.
Running errands is something we do almost daily. Getting them organized will not only save you time, it will save you gas. The key is to group errands together that are in the same general location. So if you have to go to the Post Office, you can bring your dry cleaning since the dry cleaner is next to the Post Office, and you can bring your banking since the bank is across the street, and you can order that cake for your child’s birthday since the bakery is on the way home!
Unless you’re a professional chef, we’re betting that one of the most stressful and frustrating parts of your week/day is meal planning. Finding a recipe, shopping for ingredients, chopping and prepping, not to mention the actual cooking part - it sounds exhausting before you’ve even started. That’s one of the reasons why so many time-starved people are starving for home-cooked meals. It’s all just so time consuming.
Do your kids forget to do their homework? Are their rooms a total mess? Teaching your kids some basic organization skills will help them in the long run and save you some hassle, too!
One of the greatest things about women is that they rarely refuse to help someone else in need. The bad thing about women? They rarely refuse anything. If you’re a yes girl, you’re likely saying yes before you’re checking your calendar or thinking about whether you want to do it. Make an extra 56 cupcakes for the school bake sale? Sure. Babysit your neighbor’s baby for an afternoon? Of course.

Oh, the blinking light indicating your battery is dead or your memory card is full? It happens to the best of us and it always happens at the worst time. Those pictures clogging up the memory card? The best way to make resolutions is to determine what you want and can realistically change. It has to be something you want to do otherwise you WILL falter and fail.
• Be Specific: Once you decide on what you want to do, be specific in your resolution/goal: instead of ‘I want to lose weight’, make your resolution more specific like ‘I will exercise and diet to reach a goal weight of X’. Instead of ‘I want to save money this year’ try ‘I will save $X per quarter for a total of at least $X for this year.’
