Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle: EVERY Girls Dream Come True

When the folks here at ModernMom.com and Mattel sent my daughter the Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle, I have to admit I was a little excited. Okay, a lot excited. Without a doubt, my 5-year-old daughter would love it (in fact, it already topped her Christmas list). But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for selfish reasons, too: I wanted to play with it. No more sitting on my daughter’s floor pretending that the paper towel represented Cinderella’s bedroom and the paper plate was Aurora’s. I’m all for creativity, but let’s be honest, a four-room castle complete with tea tray, utensils and a pink clamshell bathtub doesn’t squelch creativity; it ignites it. Go ahead and see for yourself by clicking HERE. I recorded the priceless “reveal” when my daughter came home from school and saw the castle for the first time. I recorded the assembly. And then I recorded my daughter and her friend flexing their interior design muscles as they outfitted the castle rooms. They entertained themselves for hours on end—and so did I, just listening in.
