Shaya’s 4th Birthday was a blast!
It started out as a small impromptu backyard celebration with the few boyfriends he has. 20 people turned into 40 and 1:00 pm raged on till 7:00 pm.
I love days like that, spent at home and shared with loved ones in the gorgeous 80 degree weather in the 'Bu. What a lucky guy! Shaya pulled the most beautiful day of the year.
The Oscars came and went too fast! Now I’m watching the fashion critiques on every channel.
What didn’t fly by were the hours of preparation getting ready for the biggest day in television.
Six dance classes, two karate classes, six play dates, two sleepovers, a scooter session in the park and 12 meals at home = Spring break madness. My new name is Vacation Concierge and I must admit I would pay TOP dollar to anyone worthy of the future gig!
Welcome to my chaotic life, trying to please four children and a few friends who are off from school. But as always, in my chaos there is a lesson to be learned.
It’s that time of year again, and one of the only days nationally dedicated to celebrating love! How sad…
A friend just sent this to me. I love it! Just read it to my daughter and she said "Yep, all true!"
My promise to my children - as long as I live - I am your parent first, your friend second.
I will stalk you, flip out on you, lecture you, drive you insane, be your worst nightmare and hunt you down like a bloodhound when needed because I LOVE YOU!
When you understand that, I will know that you are a responsible adult.
You will NEVER find someone who loves, prays, cares and worries about you more than I do!
I am always amazed at how children interpret information - what it means to them and how they process it. Rain often blows me away, but last night was the best!
She was learning about Martin Luther King in our home school last month. She shared some stories with us over dinner calling him, “Martha Jr.” (Too cute). She was very sensitive about how people were treated different and King’s dedication and passion to make a change. I saw this card hanging in the classroom and thought it was so beautiful…
Happy Super Bowl Weekend!!! I can’t remember that last time my husband was excited about a weekend or planning a get together! This year we’re doing it different, and I am NOT cooking for 30!
The guys have booked a bunch of tables at a local sports bar while the wives, kids and I will play at the park, shop and enjoy some girl time. We’ll hook up with the guys for the ½ time show, margaritas and dinner. I can’t wait to see the Super Bowl commercials!
Meet Pokey.
Here he is when he was only a few weeks old. My babysitter got him with Rain after she conned me into a reward for sleeping in her own bed. If you’ve been reading my posts, you know that was a huge scam. I’m the sucker. Still fighting through sleepless nights and now I’ve added another responsibility to my brood.
Why am I the greatest butt wiper in the house?!? Is there something special about my particular touch, or skill if you will? Because I swear my husband and my nanny as well as my older girls do a fine job, LOL. But no matter where I am in the house, regardless of what I am doing, my little ones scream only “MOOOO
The intense 7 day cleanse that I'm doing is not for everyone. So here's a simple way to kick start your healthy eating plan and shock your body. There is only one simple rule - the food must be GREEN. (No green M&M's though!)
I did this last year and the ModernMom community joined me and it was great supporting each other. So, join me if you dare!
Here's a list of green foods:
